FCA US Secure Gateway

In 2018, FCA US implemented the Secure Gateway Module (SGW). The purpose of this onboard security feature is to protect the numerous control modules behind a digital “firewall,” preventing unauthorized access and potential security risks. Only diagnostic scan tools validated by FCA and compliant with their security protocols are authorized to access the Secure Gateway Module.
